Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American model and singer. She is also co-starring with Prince in his 1984 movie Purple Rain. Kotero was the female lead vocalist for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. Apollonia is a singer/actress who was born to Prince in 1984 became one of the female musicians of the 80s who benefitted from Prince. The actress was born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959 her career began as a model and actress in the late '70s with a role in the television series CHiPS. She replaced Vanity with the female duo Vanity 6 who performed in the film as Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity. Kotero ended her relationship with Prince after a disagreement during the course of their careers. Apollonia 6 broke up following their disagreement. Kotero was in a few minor movies during this period and was reportedly not allowed to be on the set of her role in the Purple Rain sequel Under the Cherry Moon. Between 1985 and 1986, she landed a part on the drama series for evenings Falcon Crest. Apollonia was finally able to release her debut album in 1988. However, the album did not leave an lasting impression on music lovers and was soon obliterated from the scene. She continued acting (if somewhat obscure) in the next decade. Small TV appearances as well as minor film roles and exercise videos kept her busy. Apollonia's album Stay With Me was released in 1997.
