Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She received a BA at Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue l. Ellis, an American actor and producer who has been in the theater and television as well, is present in both the film and theater screen. She began her career acting in the theatre before going on to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. In BET's amazing series The Book of Negroes she was a character. She did not only receive critical acclaim for her performance, but she was also awarded and nominations. In 1995, she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. The actress has appeared in Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her roles in the films Men of Honor as well as the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In her television work, she's been recognized for her part as a regular character on ABC's police drama High Incident.
